It's back to Germany for me and amazingly enough Lufthansa is so full I couldn't change my seat when I check in last night. I will be crossing the Atlantic in a middle seat. *sobs*

On the upside I did see How to Train Your Dragon last night.

OMG THIS MOVIE )

I feel a certain amount of loyalty to Gareth David Lloyd, not because he was OMG Ianto on Torchwood (I still have yet to see all of Torchwood) but mainly because he is a really cool guy and bought my friends and I tequila shots at Dragoncon.

My loyalties are very easily bought apparently.

Anyhow, instead of watching the Superbowl (football? what is this game you call football?) I watched DT's Hamlet with [livejournal.com profile] jigglykat, [livejournal.com profile] doven, [livejournal.com profile] madkrazyghetto, [livejournal.com profile] basalt and [livejournal.com profile] macbeemer. Hamlet was exactly what I expected it to be and there's not much I can add besides it was amazingly well done, well acted and very enjoyable.

The rest is all [livejournal.com profile] jigglykat's fault as she's the one who brought Sherlock Holmes: starring Ianto Jones and Dinosaurs with her.

Cut for spoilers about Ianto Jones taking on dinosaurs... or something )

Watchmen

I snuck into an Abandoned Boat Graveyard and saw Watchmen yesterday. You'll have to wait for the Boat Graveyard photos but I do have thoughts on Watchmen.

Hitman

The brother dragged me off to see Hitman today. REALLY good movie, it was a nice 'hi, I'm a badass and am going to kill you' flick and I enjoyed it muchly.

But seriously, is James Cameron getting any kind of monetary kickback from this film? Because I swear to god the opening credits were shots from Season 1 Dark Angel: with all the kids being indoctrinated. And I'm not talking about "influenced by" Dark Angel. The shots were from Dark Angel. I swear I wasn't seeing things.
The ipod is officially dead. I've since discovered as well, that the Apple Care Protection Plan doesn't cover ipod's that are cracked and squashed. I could have spent $250 to get it repaired or bought a new one. I went with the new ipod, as much as it hurt to part with the money, I have a hard time not functioning without it. I have ipod dependency issues. My old ipod was the special edition U2 version and it was oh so pretty, but overall I wasn't all that happy with it. I was on my third version of that ipod in 2 years. It kept having hard-drive issues and I kept having to bring it back to be replaced. Not such a good track record.

I've since been converting my Doctor Who eps to ipod format because the very idea of having Doctor Who eps on my ipod ready to watch at any moment makes me pretty damn happy.

Also, the new Pride and Prejudice movie never should have been made )
