Most of my photos average around 20 views total. Not all that good, but not all that bad either. I really don't go out of my way to promote them (because I get lazy).
My most viewed photo, with 464 views, was taken off the coast of Victoria Island in Lagos, Nigeria. It was a Sunday: rain was pouring down and some of it was defeating our covered boat and finding its way in through the windows. We were on our way to a private beach further up the coast for a day of fun and food - hopefully. The boat had finally just left the dock where we had entertained ourselves by watching the tides bring in massive amounts of garbage and counting the number of flip-flops amongst the flotsam. Don't believe me on the flip-flops thing? go count for yourselves...

This was my most viewed photo.
With 1,377 views, the photo below is now my all time most viewed photo.

A little backstory: occasionally I get layovers in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I since have added a bikini to my items of stuff I keep permanently packed but in my defense I was still new at this whole flight attendant thing and somewhat self conscious about walking about in even a one piece swimming suit (I've currently graduated to string bikini and the self consciousness is gone. Thank you Hawaii!) Anyhow, no swimming suit, inviting waters: I just kinda jumped in clothes and all. And what you're seeing here is the end result.
This particular photo had about 30 views till someone went and linked it to some mailing list or forum or something consisting entirely of girls in wet clothes (ya'll, I think I just participated in a wet t-shirt contest.)
Someday I'm going to get around to explaining my "Beer and Bitches Theory of Life" but regardless, I think this photo and it's ENORMOUS upswing of views played right into it. Hell, when I loaded the Hawaii photos a few months ago the gorgeous sunsets and the stunning ocean views got the normal range of hits but put a girl in a bikini (me) on a surfboard and viewers were all over it.
*shakes head*
People *cough*men*cough* are shallow.
Oh yeah, the PC I cart around with me whilst traveling DIED and I had to replace it and I am so DAMN BROKE right now. (It hurts my soul)
