Random Photo: Bullfight

I've spent the evening going through my old photos and re-uploading a fair number of them. Many of them, like the example above, make me wish I had my Canon Rebel with me when I took these photos. The camera I had before my baby was a piece of crap. And I took horrible pictures, not just because my camera was crap, but because I was just awful at lining up a shot and framing pictures. I've improved since then. But I do have some gems amongst those old pictures.
Like this bullfight on the beaches of Terceira, an island in the Azores. I wouldn't call it a bullfight so much as a bull antagonization. Those involved in the fight (most of them men in bathing trunks) lined up along the beach near the surf. The bull was on the beach itself and the spectators were behind the bull lining the beach. There were no fences between the spectators and the bull, if it chose to charge, bad things would happen. The only thing holding this bull back was 5 guys hanging onto a rope tied around its neck.
I really want to go back to the Azores.
As always, more of my photos (including new uploads of Diego Garcia, Ghana and Japan) can be found on my flickr site.
