Oh, Texas. What an intriguing place. On one hand, Monty Python's first welcoming state in the US. On the other hand, Chuck Norris. On the other other hand, guys like Ackles, Padalecki and Parsons.

My dad is supposed to be going on a business trip to Dallas-Fortworth sometime this year, and I'm seriously tempted to guilt him to take me along, just so I could see for myself what exactly is up with that desert. :)

If you do go, spend more time in Fort Worth then in Dallas (Dallas is kinda hoity toity and snobby). Fort Worth is so much fun... with the bars, the cowboy mindset and the great downtime.

Really, why aren't more people flocking here?

I don't know because y'all have damn good real estate right now. Even when the economy was booming, you could get a nice place in Houston for under half of Atlanta's prices.

Texas!! I lived for six years in Houston as a kid--can I apply for honorary citizenship? (Still know some of my Texas history from first grade!)

I gave in and ordered a photo op with Jensen and Jared for the Vancouver Creation con. Should I get them to sign a Texas flag and make them pose with it? :D
