Do you Baku?
May. 31st, 2007 07:57 amSee, this is what happens when I go dark for awhile. Stuff goes down and when I come back it's all - wtf?
Of course, I almost got sold off in Baku, Azerbaijan for visas, so you know. Everything is relative. The getting sold off part was a bit of a joke on the part of my crew (I hope) but there was a very real possibility of ending up in a holding cell for our lack of Visas. This is why you shouldn't go to a country who was once part of the USSR without cold, hard cash.
I did manage to snag a Soviet Pilots hat in Kyrgyzstan though, made in 1961 in Moscow. It's oh so dorky and I love it oh so much.
I really don't like being stuck in England. I'm paying 5 Pounds for 1 hour of internet (that comes out to 10 dollars for an hour) uggggg. Of course, it was better then the 27 dollars Kyrgyzstan wanted for internet access.
On the plus side of things, I have 30 hours in Oslo, Norway coming up. And I have no clothes that could in any way constitute cold weather clothing as I packed for 90 degrees in Baku. And to think I held my sweater in my hands and thought "I won't need that."
Lesson Learned.
Btw,
regala_electra the check for Winchestercon went through. Consider yourself the proud new owner of your very own minion.
