I like bugs
Jan. 19th, 2006 06:55 pmThe little bro finally checked in again from bright and sunny Kuwait. Oddly enough he sounds much more upbeat about things there then in Germany.
(his grammer is atrocious. I pity the poor professor who will someday have T in his english class)
"well still in Kuwait, I hear where we are going is a complete shithole...the place is flooded next to a swamp so its a breeeding ground for the nasty bugs that infest this region of the world, also I hear there is little or no plumbing, they are telling us we should get a shower once a week, also I hear the toilet is a hole in the ground then we get to scoop all the shit up and burn it so that should be lots of fun. We whent to the range this morning we fired 18 rounds and sat around for like 6 hours this morning"
His currently sunny disposition is going to disappear fast. T is the most fastidious person I know and he hates bugs. Of course, at least he's been around them seeing as how I took great pride and joy in acquiring all sorts of creepy crawlies (I will own a tarantula again someday). I can't help but think though... they're going to be in a very hot part of the world, showering once a week, and there are a hell of a lot of men there... That smell is going to be FOUL.
Of course, on the plus side, he says he's getting a tan. So there is a positive in there somewhere.
I'm so glad I never joined the military.
My rapidographs are calling to me. I should draw something
