ellefliesWork seems to have this skill... it's uncanny, but every time I have something to do, they step in and just screw it all up.
So I was going to roll off my flight from Lagos, Nigeria at 7 in the morning and scurry on over to a JetBlue flight so I could make my appointment on the 8th.
So I'm at work, I have my position (the place where I work on the crew) and we are ready to head for the plane. But not so fast, scheduling calls.
As I am the lowest in seniority on the flight my number came up. I was being taken off the Lagos flight as working crew and would instead deadhead over (deadhead means I'm flying on the plane in as a non-working crew member) in order to spend 24 hours in Nigeria to catch a commercial flight to Accra, Ghana the next morning.
Which means I will instead be getting home on the 8th (the day of my appointment) at 1 in the afternoon.
BAD news.
So everything is rescheduled. There's a late night flight I can catch on JetBlue if everything works out.
So basically the pilots had better step on it because my plans are screwed up enough as it is.
