I watched the new Doctor Who ep!

That in and of itself is a Christmas miracle. Of course I spoiled myself rotten first and was so damn confused by what I was hearing that I had to watch just to make sure I wasn't getting my leg pulled.

Turns out everything was true. There really was just that much CRACK.

I was flailing at

shinyopals the entire time I was watching and I think most of my comments can be summed up as WTF and LOLWUT?

I don't feel like I can have a definite opinion on this episode until I see the next one. It felt like lots of setup, albeit really cracky setup.

The Doctor's scene in the cafe with Wilf: absolutely amazing. I just wish they'd given it a bit more time. His scene on the ground with the Master: Just as good. Of course they'd go from supremely emotional scene to the Master shooting electricity out of his hands and I'd be back to LOL WTF.

The whole thing with Obama was... I don't even know. I want to say hysterical and yet I'm still boggling over it. Everyone being all YAY because Obama was going to give a SPEECH and the recession would be magically over and the US government is all set to transmat money into everyone's pockets... I'm not sure if it was a joke or if they were serious.

I loved Master!Obama and his Master!Press Corp. He did look rather smashing in that grey dress. And the pink one...

Btw, that relationship between the father and daughter was downright SKEEVY. I thought she was his wife at first and had a OH ICK moment when I realized what their exact relationship to each other was.

I am... really not sure about this whole bringing the Time Lords back thing. In fact, I downright do not like it and kinda hope they don't stick around afterwards. I don't even know, but I like the Doctor being the LAST. That and I really don't want to help

shinyopals think up an explanation for the 14 verse. Not that I don't like helping her, but more that I just want them to stay dead.

I don't think I'm ready for next week. David was gorgeous in this ep. He looked amazing and he turned into an awesome performance. I'm not ready for that to go away.

One more thing: If the Master had uttered the words "my precious" at any point during this ep, it would have been sheer utter WIN.

But at least he can haz cheeseburger.
