Finally finally finally getting caught up on SG1 and SGA now that I'm back home.



Wow.

I feel like they're channeling a little bit of Battlestar Galactica and I like it! They should stick to eps like this, 10 times better then the drivel they passed off as an episode the week before this.

Ronon is my new TV boyfriend. That man is just... mmmm. This episode reminded me a bit of the season 1 ep The Storm (I think, I'm too lazy to actually look up the actual name) where Sheppard kicks ass. Ronon was on a rampage and it was a thing of beauty. He's just so pretty when he's angry. And seeing his background, back before he became the caveman (as McKay says) was fascinating. More Please!

Poor McKay, he always ends up being the one high on something. Also, I love his girly screams. And he and Carson, fighting over the gun because they wanted to be all tough and badass too. Absolutely loved it.

Teyla really is the babysitter for this bunch. She reminds me of a mom trailing around after a bunch of young boys picking up the mess after them. Poor girl, as hard as she tries they just won't do what she says.

Overall, fantastic episode. Sheppard opening up (as it were) about his feelings, Ronon facing his past, McKay on drugs. I had fun. And really, as long as I have fun that's all that matters.

I'm sure I'll have a much more coherent review for the upcoming ep. I'm still suffering from way too much jet lag.

I've been saying it for months but Teyla is SO the babysitter. You can tell at times that she wants to shut them all up in an unpickable lock proof room and leave them there for a day or two, just so she can get some sleep. Everytime she tries a little downtime one of them does something. Poor girl.

Also? The imaginary pissing contest John was having was so him.

I don't know how she handles it- being the only voice of reason (most of the time) for those three. I'd probably go stark raving mad and start by throttling Rodney... But I'm not nearly as cool as Teyla. Although I think they drive her pretty batty too (I got the impression she wanted to smack Sheppard by the end of that ep)

It was! And poor Teyla is just stuck there thinking that he is so three years old. Or hmmm, maybe he's just making up for showing her his insecure side by being all manly and tough and shit (you know how guys are about that stuff *g*)

I seriously have so much awe over her ability to handle it. I would KILL them all. My temper? I'd have be on SGA-19, if at all. Seriously, because Sheppard's team wouldn't last long. I'd have to kill the boys. I'm sure she wants to smack them all pretty frequently, especially when you hear the sharp "Rodney!" and "Colonel Sheppard!" when they're bickering.

And poor Teyla is just stuck there thinking that he is so three years old.

I don't know, maybe she was thinking that he was better suited for McKay more than she realized. Because they both act the same age most of the time. Age be darned.

It was great though. This was one of my favorite episodes. The team-ishness of it was fantastic. That's when they are at their best.

Enh.. influence. Gotta love it.

Everyone had such a great role in this ep. And I loved that they really expanded on Ronon's character. Now if only I could get a little Shep backstory...

Wouldn't that be nice? Is it just me, or did Joe say in last year's pre-season special that they were writing an episode dealing with Sheppard's backstory? It is long overdue.
