I haven't slept in over 24 hours.

In the past 3 days I've only slept in a real bed once.

I'm sitting in LaGuardia Airport in New York trying to get on a flight to Houston.

I don't have a ticket. I'm flying standby and will only get on the plane if there's space available.

All of the flights are oversold.

I wanted to buy a ticket a month ago but my mother assured me I didn't have to and it would be fine.

It's not fine.

I am a wreck. I'm exhausted, I want to go home, I don't want to spend another day in New York and I am so exceedingly close to bawling my eyes out in the middle of this terminal...

Thanks for the offer babe. My parents finally wised up to the fact that I wasn't doing so hot and practically ordered me to go back to the crashpad and sleep.

Even the taxi driver was somewhat appalled by how exhausted I was.

They bought me a ticket out tomorrow so at least something good came of this.

Hope you're able to get on your flight and make it home safely! My brother's been staying at my place while hoping that his flight back to Taiwan tomorrow is not cancelled. *fingers crossed--cuz it's been snowing a lot in Boston*
