Hookahs are made of love.
Aug. 8th, 2007 02:42 pm"Welcome to Kuwait. The current temperature is 120 degrees Fahrenheit."
Holy Crap.
And we'd just come from Scotland where it was unseasonably cold and where men wear kilts. (I only mention this as I had time on my hands whilst prepping the plane so ended up interrogating our ground guys as to wether they wore underwear under their kilts. Not that they were wearing kilts, but when they do wear kilts... I just had to know if they were doing it 'right' *g*)
Oh yeah, this post is brought to you by the fact that I just got done smoking quite a bit of apple shisha and am now slightly buzzed (hookahs are love).
But anyways, in memory of Scotland (nice, cold, frosty Scotland. I could just slurp it right up...) These were taken back in *thinks* January, where the weather was exactly the same as it was at the beginning of August (Scotland has weather issues, the ground guys promised they'd have a little chat with their country about the meaning of the word "summer."
Oh yes, all pictures are from the Glasgow Necropolis. We did our fair share of walking around the city itself but had the most fun in the cemetary.

Old and worn. That's the general state of most of the tombstones. They had an air of gravity I've rarely seen in an American graveyard.

The spookier a graveyard: the better. Just my little opinion....

There are no old buildings like the ones in Europe. This is a detail of the Glasgow Cathedral, or roundabouts. Little things tucked into little corners... you don't get that in the glass monstrosities everyone is so fond of these days.

I was practically becoming one with the bush trying to get this shot. Seriously, it was embracing me.

Should I be worried that I went to Scotland and had more fun in the cemetary then anywhere else? Or should I just chalk it up to watching too much Supernatural (If Dean and Sam can have fun in cemetaries. So Can I! Gyah, when I say fun in cemetaries... that sounds so wrong on so many levels.)
Oh yeah, can't get enough of Scottish cemetaries. I've got more for you on my Flickr Site
