The Joy of Commuting.

I love ZooBorns, but every time they bring up artificial insemination, I can't help but wonder if artificially inseminated animals have an "oh fuck" moment after they've had their baby and wonder who it is they slept with?

I know. Random.

Tomorrow I head back to New York. I most likely will not be back home until Christmas. Which is fine, as next month is vacation! The only downside so this going back to New York thing is that the flights to LaGuardia are completely full so I have to fly into Newark and use the New Jersey Transit and Long Island Rail Road to get back to Queens. I should be walking in the door around 7 pm. Only to turn around and report in to work at 4 in the morning so they can commercial me down to Dallas. Yes, I am flying to New York from Texas only to fly right back down to Texas. It's stupid and idiotic but as I'm not technically supposed to be commuting it's not really something I can argue with them about. Instead I get to waste almost 2 days.

The fun never ends around here.

Btw, am doing a Doctor Who rewatch. We'll see if I can work up the guts to watch the episodes I have not seen. No one hold their breath!

Yup! Flight Attendant. It's a small charter company so we have to go to the planes (hence all the commercialing) rather then the planes coming to us.

Commuting KILLS me, but it's so much cheaper then living where I'm based.

I'm originally from Montreal so the commuting is not that bad(depending on how many revenues fly that day.) I try to go back at least once a month.
The winter weather is usually the main culprit for missing my flights. Thankfully I haven't got an unavailable yet!

How's your seniority?

That's not a bad hop. Considering how big Canada is it could be so much worse. My commute takes anywhere between 3 and 4 hours

We're a small company so it's somewhat easy to have good seniority. Mine is pretty good, smack dab in the middle so I can't complain. Only problem is that since we're charter we have to commute with other airlines so I use JetBlue or Continental. The only. reason I've never missed a flight: I have backups. :)

3 to 4 hours...ouf! That does get long!

I'm still fairly junior only 2 1/2 years.
Our pilots are allowed to commute with other airlines and we usually get air transat on board!

Alas, I will only be in New York for less then 24 hours. But I have the 23rd - 26th, which is over a weekend. I've already told jigglykat that I will be dragging her out of her art cave at some point while I'm in NYC.

The commute does suck, I usually just pull my lap top out and make everyone around my jealous with all the tv shows I have on it. I have fortified with all of 9's episode. *sigh* I miss 9 (AND DAVID. OMG MISS HIM ALREADY)

If it helps, Continental does the same thing with scheduling when I was on a plane with a busted engine. (Long story.)
