ellefliesI seem to have changed longitude, but not latitude. Oh, and oceans, I switched those too.
This was supposed to be my day off where I just sat around my apartment in Queens and turned into Super!Bum. It was not to be, the allure of Alaska was too great to resist. Of course, considering that Iceland is 4 hours ahead of New York, and Alaska is 4 hours behind and I was still on Iceland time when I arrived in Anchorage, I've got a pretty severe case of jet lag going on.
On the up side of things, I've found out that Anchorage is a lot like Manhattan in that they have a 6th Avenue, 5th Avenue and so on, so my dream of seeing a moose walk down 5th Avenue really could be realized. It would be the wrong city, but when I said I wanted a moose to walk down 5th Avenue, I never did specify so that is my own fault.
On a fandom note, there's only one more episode of Supernatural to go before I can start watching again! Yay!! I quit watching after Born Under a Bad Sign due to being gone all the damn time, plus, I find that I enjoy Supernatural more if I'm watching it with someone as opposed to camped out in front of my computer. So, I threw in the towel and said no more eps till the seasons over. That was I can watch them all in one go and not have to go through the emotional stress of waiting for new eps. Of course, knowing Supernatural I'll probably be an emotional wreck after the last episode but that is the price you pay. And hey, I'm completely unspoiled (mostly, I know a little bit about Heart and that there's a trickster and that is IT) so if anyone spoils me.... my wrath will flow forth and know no bounds.
I should get ready for the day... we're driving to Seward today and hopefully will be taking a 3 hour Glacier/Wildlife tour as it is the ONLY thing open to do. May 15th is apparently THE day in Alaska when everything opens, as it is May 11th and we leave on the 12th, well, we're kinda screwed in that regard.
