Thanks! I had good material to work with :) It was hard to take a bad shot in a place as stunning as Istanbul.

Thank You!

The Hagia Sophia has been on my list since my first art history class and it did not disappoint at all. Those pictures do not do it justice and I had to go through it so fast (I had 1 hour until the hotel van picked us up, I want to go back so I can go through it at a snails pace.)

I almost didn't get to see it, the crew was balking at going into the city and there was NO WAY I was going to be that close to the Hagia Sophia and not be in it.

These are breathtaking...especially your shot of the crescent moon above the Hagia Sophia. How did you set up that shot?

Thanks! The scenery there was just gorgeous. And there really wasn't much in the way of setting up. We were walking around the Hagia Sophia around dusk and the moon and the dome of the building happened to align where we were standing.

Seeing as how Turkey is a Muslim country and the Hagia Sophia used to be a mosque I think it's an entirely appropriate shot. :)
