Seeing the Hagia Sophia was the entire reason I threw such a fit about going into Istanbul





Look closely, there are itty bitty people down there...



Only I would take a detour into the nearest Cemetery...

Date: 2009-06-07 03:39 am (UTC)The Hagia Sophia has been on my list since my first art history class and it did not disappoint at all. Those pictures do not do it justice and I had to go through it so fast (I had 1 hour until the hotel van picked us up, I want to go back so I can go through it at a snails pace.)
I almost didn't get to see it, the crew was balking at going into the city and there was NO WAY I was going to be that close to the Hagia Sophia and not be in it.
